Dr. Stefan Herold, DNACB, DC

Chiropractic Neurologist

Called to be a healer, Dr. Herold chose the path of becoming a chiropractic physician.  After training in clinical neuroscience/functional neurology through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies, he is also a specialist in neurology, Diplomate certified by the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. During his undergraduate work he studied biology and philosophy at the University of Minnesota.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and in 2002 earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic, graduating with honors from Northwestern Health Sciences University.  Dr. Herold has received additional training in many other healing arts including training in CranioSacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute, Bioenergetic Synchronization from Morter Health Systems, acupuncture theory and technique at NWHSU and Qi Gong with instructor and publisher John DuCane to name a few.Besides studying the healing arts and sciences, Stefan enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, skiing, reading, video games, crafting medieval armor, playing with his dog and 3 cats, tending to a backyard full of animals (dwarf goats, chickens and ducks) and most of all spending time with Lee, his beautiful wife of 12 years.

Practice Style: With over a decade of clinical experience, Stefan enjoys incorporating a wide variety of healing techniques tailored to the needs of each individual patient.  Services offered: Chiropractic Adjustments (traditional and low force techniques), Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation, Functional Medicine, Nutritional Consultation, soft tissue therapies and physiotherapies, CranioSacral Therapy and various reflex and energetic based modalities.

Dr. Herold also utilizes the most up to date (non-invasive and pain free) diagnostic scans to monitor the function of each patient’s nervous system by measuring imbalances in muscle activity and the nerves controlling the internal organs and glands. This technology was originally developed by the space program to monitor the health of our astronauts, and has been further developed by researchers and clinicians to allow doctors to get the most accurate, objective assessment of each patient’s individual status and monitor their improvement under care.  Schedule an intake appointment or a 45 minute complimentary consultation to learn about your nervous system health.

What is functional neurology?  Functional neurology is the clinical science of treating the brain and body the way it was designed to function – through sensory inputs.  Our brains job is to respond to the environment.  Stimuli such as touch, stretch, movement, light, sound or smell are what ultimately drive all brain function.  Rather than intrusively affecting the brain through the tools of medical neurology (drugs and/or surgery), chiropractic neurology utilizes these natural pathways to improve function and increase adaptability and cellular viability to decrease the effects of aging, injury or degenerative changes on future health.

My Pledge to You:  I will always take time for you: to listen, to educate and offer hope.
