A gunshot wound and four surgeries within four years led Chelsey to some serious realizations about the miracles of health and healing. She’s committed her personal energy to the pursuit of knowledge around bodywork and joins Portland Natural Health with over a decade of experience.
She pursued her Massage Therapy certification at the Academy of Professional Careers in Boise, Idaho in 2004. The following elements are a highlight of her expertise, including but not limited to: Swedish massage, Prenatal massage, Deep tissue massage, Sports massage, Passive Joint Movement, Reflexology, Fire Cupping, Raindrop Therapy, Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy.
The more she learned, the more she wanted to learn more! She can’t remember the last time she read a fiction book; all her reading time is devoted to learning and personal/professional growth. “Learning is fun to me,” she says.
So it came as no surprise that she attended the Guild for Structural Integration in Colorado and followed it up with the tutelage of Emmett Hutchins, a leading authority in the field, in Hawaii. She achieved her SI certification in 2007 and loves to share the magic of bodywork contained within the 10-series.
But she didn’t stop there. The birth of her daughter and subsequent mothering years inspired her love of learning and bodywork to direct towards Doula work; she pursued and achieved her Doula certification in 2014 from Birthingway College of Midwifery.
Her personal experience, recovering as she did from four surgeries, has instilled in her the belief that we all hold power to heal our bodies and minds. And through her commitment to learning and educating, Chelsey looks forward to helping you move forward and explore your true potential.
Outside of healing bodywork, Chelsey is currently rediscovering her Yoga practice. Otherwise, she loves to travel and explore with her family, and spend quality time with her friends and fellow mom business owners.
