Carmen Ripley, ND

Carmen RipleyDr. Ripley earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Movement from the University of Oregon, and her doctoral degree (ND) from Bastyr University in Seattle. She has been in private practice in Portland, Oregon for 10 years, and she has extensive experience in the areas of women’s health, nutritional counseling, and primary care.

As part of her training, she completed a 2-year integrative medical residency through the National College of Natural Medicine and A Woman’s Time Clinic. This residency included quarterly rotations with specialized medical doctors in local clinics and hospitals.

In addition to operating her private practice, Dr. Ripley has served as a community health educator and adjunct professor. In her practice, she supports her patient’s right to health by providing counseling services, health education, nutritional advice, botanical medicine, and lifestyle modifications.

A few of Dr. Ripley’s focuses include the following: family medicine, gastrological conditions (such as reflux, gall stones, IBS, colitis, and ulcers), and women’s health care (including gynecological exams, birth control options and education, PMS, fertility, menstrual irregularities, peri-menopause and menopause).

Dr. Ripley believes that naturopathic medicine is a safe and effective way to heal the body and is an excellent vehicle for disease prevention. Keeping our lives simple, our bodies less encumbered by toxins, optimizing our nutrition, staying active, and nourishing our mental and spiritual well-being are all practices championed by Dr. Ripley.
